To attract more women online, you have to step outside of your reality. If you are focusing on what you want, that's all fine and well. After all this is about you. However, to be successful online dating, you need to focus on what women want and what they look for online. Step outside of your reality and understand hers. It would be nice if she would do the same, but you as the male after all are the pursuer. It's your job.

First understand how women create their profiles. It's like they are going to a ball or the prom. They put lots of time into it. They send pics off to friends to get opinions on which ones should be posted. They spend hours writing it, at least most do. They dress it all up.
Men toss a few things up there as a rule, some even say mail me if you want to know more. What a let down. Even if you sent a half interesting email and a woman clicks on your profile and sees this, she will click off and most likely not answer. If she is attractive, you can bet she has about 30 more emails and profiles to sort through just as disappointing.
Women are waiting. They are waiting for that one guy to stand out. They are waiting for that one guy that has a great profile and can compose a few really good sentences. They are waiting for that one guy that stands out among all those same ole emails and profiles.
If you have in your profile all of your wonderful characteristics such as honesty, loyalty, loving, compassionate blah blah blah, take it out. They all say that. You won't stand out with these attributes even if they are important.
So what I am saying here is a good profile is something she strives for so to stand out you have to give her what she values, which is a good profile.
When writing your profile, make sure you feel good. Do it when you are at your best. Maybe after you have had some fun with the guys, maybe after a good work out at the gym. If you feel good it will reflect in your words. Put on some up beat music while you are writing it. Sounds crazy I know but it helps a lot.
Be creative, use words that paint pictures. Adjectives. Don't give out your whole life or write a book. Focus in on a few key points or things that make you interesting. What is the coolest thing about you?
Have a few good photos up. Profiles with photos get over 50% more activity. Leave your shirt on unless you are out on a boat or something. If you have a pic of you shirtless in front of a bathroom mirror remove it now!!!!!
The thing that keeps women interested is more of what they don't know about you than what they do. So if in describing what you do for a living for example don't actually tell it, but describe what you do. I am a writer. My profile does not say I am a writer. It says I earn my living with words, with a few more details.
